What to Expect
What to Expect
The compassionate, caring staff at each and every Great Lakes Medical Imaging location will do everything possible to make sure that your visit is relaxing, comfortable, and as quick as possible. We are happy to answer any questions you may have before, during and after your exam. Rest assured, our professional staff is here to help.
You should plan on contacting your scheduled location at least 48 hours prior to your exam to determine if any special preparation is required. Bring your medical insurance information to your appointment, as well as any previous films and/or reports relating to your exam if you can. Plan on arriving a few minutes early to fill out any paperwork that is needed, so you won’t feel rushed.
After you check in and fill out any needed forms, a member of our staff will direct you to the exam area. For most exams, we recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing that does not contain any metal, and is easily removed. We also recommend you leave any jewelry at home.
Our technologist will greet you, and explain the exam to you, answering any questions you may have. After your exam, the technologist will let you know whether or not you need to wait while your images are reviewed. Once your exam is complete, we’ll let you know if there are any follow-up instructions for when you return home.
